Suma Ginseng For
High Blood Pressure
Add Suma To Your Selection Of
Teas For Variety And Health
Although it has been nicknamed "Suma Ginseng," "Brazilian Ginseng," Suma
Root (Pfaffia paniculata) is not actually a member of the Ginseng family. It has gained this identity by its
use within the sizeable Japanese community in Brazil. Suma should not be confused with traditional
Ginseng, which can actually have negative effects on High Blood Pressure. It has also earned the
name "Para Tudo." Para Tudo is a Portugese term translated "For All,"
meaning that this wonder herb is good for everyone.
Pfaffia Paniculata is a large shruby vine native to South America, and has been widely
known and used as a medicinal herb. The species can be found growing along the borders of the Parana River,
but the collection of it for profit have made it more rare. The Japanese patented a method of
extracting the active ingredients from the root of the plant, which are; beta-ecdysterone (an anabolic agent),
three ecdysteroid glycosides, and saponins. Saponins have been clinically demonstrated in Japanese studies to inhibit tumor cells, and regulate blood sugar levels.
Although Suma Root can be purchased from a health store as a nutritional
supplement, it is most effective when taken in tea form which allows it immediate entrance into the blood
stream. It can also be taken in a condensed liquid form and measured in droplets. Taken regulary 2-3 times a
day, Suma can boost your immune system, rid the body of toxins, and provide oxygen to body cells. It can
also combat fatigue, anemia, and stress. The high content of vitamins and minerals have made it a
good option for strengthening the liver, treating AIDs, cancer, menopause, hormonal imbalances, digestive
troubles, and of course, High Blood Pressure. The indigenous people living in the rain forests along the
Amazon River have used this herb as a medicine for as long as they can remember. Suma Ginseng can protect the
body from external pollutants and toxins by fortifying the immune system. It can restore health by healing
damage done by toxins.
As with all herbal remedies, it is important to consult your physician, since extenuating
circumstances specific to individuals can affect the desired results. One mistake that is commonly made is to
assume that herbs like this can be used to offset destructive behaviors and allow for the ingestion of harmful
substances. Always use these remedies with caution and respect for the human physiology.
All in all, this herb is relatively safe and can be counted on to deliver the desired benefits.
But as with all herbal remedies, they are to be incorporated into the daily routine and the effects are mostly
gradual. Do not expect immediate results or get impatient when expectations are not met. Herbal remedies are not
meant to be a "quick fix," but rather a safety net of long term protection.
